　　Despite a two-goal lead in the first half, China's men's team was edged to a 2-all draw by Japan in their second match at the East Asian Football Championships.

　　Striker Li Jinyu opened the scoring for China with a header in the 37th minute. The Chinese side enlarged their advantage to two goals with a Zhang Yonghai header six minutes later.

　　However, China failed to keep up the pace towards the end as Japanese fought back with two goals in the 58th and 86th minutes.

　　China, who tied with host South Korea 1-1 in their opener, stays in second place on the rankings with two points.

　　The Chinese team will play North Korea in their last match on Sunday.
