Chinese female diver Guo Jingjing has topped the board in the first round of the national diving championship, her first appearance since the Athens Olympics.

　　The star diver and her partner Jia Dongjin got top marks in Wednesday’s synchronized three-meter springboard event.

　　Guo Jingjing says that she is satisfied with her performance.

　　Earlier, she registered to take part in Thursday’s one-meter springboard contest; however, she is uncertain if she’ll compete, having already gained a spot at the National Games.

　　On the same day, Athens Olympic champions Lao Lishi and her partner brought home a bronze medal in the 10m synchronized platform event.
