World number two Ma Lin put the gloom in worlds behind to claim the singles’ title at the Men's Table Tennis Competition in northeast China's Harbin.

　　The runner-up at the world championships left few chances for his rival Jorgen Persson from Sweden, clinching the final victory with a compelling four-love.

　　After a 3-0 down, the Swede veteran took avail of Ma's faults to lead with 11-10 in the fourth set. But Ma's changeful offence made different and helped the peddler come back with 13-11 and wrap up the final victory.

　　In the other competition, the world champs dark horse Dane Michael Maze beat Chang Penglong from Chinese Tapei 4-2 to grab the 3rd place.
