　　由报道可知，“家庭暴力”的地道说法是“domestic violence”，也可称作“family violence”。Domestic指的是“家务的、与家庭有关”，如：domestic chores（家务活）；domestic joys（家庭乐趣）。

　　另外，domestic也常用来形容“国内的、驯养的”，如：domestic wine（国产酒）；domestic cat（家猫）。
