The Worst Job I Ever Had-我所经历的最糟糕的工作


Last summer I had the misfortune to work on the assembly line at an automobile plant. While the pay was excellent,the working conditions were so had that I couldn＇t wait fOr the summer to end.


Working on the assembly line was no picnic. To begin with, the work was monotonous. Day after day,hour after hour, I performed the same task again and again.
All I had to do was tightening hohs. And hardly ever could I take a break or rest. Next,things might have been better if my foreman had not been so hostile to me. As soon as he found out I was a "college kid", he proceeded to make my life difficult. Not only did he deny me the breaks I deserve,but he never missed an opportunity to make a fool of me. Not long I began to dread craning to work. Last,the very worst part of this horrible job was the hours. As a temporary help, I had the last choice when it came to shifts. Naturally, I got stuck with midnight-to-eight. Getting to my job was really dangerous. I was nearly always alone on the bus, and had to walk several long, dark blocks. Besides, my crazy schedule made my social life just about impossible.


Between the inconvenience hours, the constant conflicts with the foreman, and the tedious work, my job was a nightmare. True, the pay was great, but I know I shall do everything possible to avoid working on the night shift in a factory again.
