My View on Expanding Enrollment


With the development of society, more and more people today are realizing the importance of education. For a nation, its future depends upon the moral and intellectual level of its people. For a person, a good education means a good job and the security of a good life. Expanding university enrollment is a practical way to promote education nationwide. No wonder so many people support the policy of expanding enrollment, for few people don＇t want to lead a happy life and have a bright future.


I agree with the majority of people on the whole, But we must realize that expanding enrollment will bring about some problems, First of all, more students will have to share the limited educational resources. As a result, there will be fiercer competition among students, which will add to their burden which is already very heavy.


Nevertheless, we should take a positive attitude towards the problems. The expanding enrollment will result in far more advantages than disadvantages. As students, We should treasure the opportunity to go to college, We should try to gain as much knowledge as we can on the one hand and cultivate our abiIity on the other.
